UNIVERSITY OF PUNJAB ADMISSION 2022
Applications for admission to the MS, M.Phil, M.Sc (Engg/Hons), and PhD programmes for the Fall semester of 2022 are opened now in The University of Punjab (PU) Lahore. It is one of the oldest & most famous university of Pakistan. It offers different undergraduate & postgraduate program. It is well ranked university of Pakistan. It is recognized by Higher education commission Pakistan & Pakistan Engineering council. The academic record, written test, and interview will all be taken into consideration when granting admission. The MS, M.Phil, M.Sc (Engg/Hons), and PhD programmes, Admission criteria as well as the written exam and interview schedule given below in details.

BS (Hons.) 4 years/ M.A. / M.Sc. / B.Sc (Hons.) 4 years / B.Sc. (Engg) degree or equivalent in the relevant subject from a HEC recognized University (At least 16 years of education; 130 credit hours) as per HEC and PU rules.

BS (Hons.) 4 years/ M.A. / M.Sc. / B.Sc (Hons.) 4 years / B.Sc. (Engg) degree or equivalent from a HEC recognized University (At least 16 years of education; 130 credit hours) with minimum CGPA ≥ 3.0 out of 4.0 / first division as per HEC and PU rules.

Candidates without thesis in MS/MPhil/equivalent can be admitted but they have to complete deficiency of 06 credit hours research thesis.

HOW TO APPLY & ADMISSION SCHEDULE:
i) Online Form is available at http://admissions.pu.edu.pk , http://111.68.103.22/admissions w.e.f. 05-09-2022. The candidate will submit his/her online form along with scanned copies of academic certificates upto 19-09-2022 (11:59 p.m.) and the Written Test/Interview will be held in the concerned department (by observing all Covid-19 SOP’s) at the time and date given above / as informed by the department.
ii) The incomplete applications in any respect will not be entertained

- Interview of successful candidates in GRE based written test: 04-10-2022 To 07-10-2022
- Display of General Merit List & 1st Merit List: 12-10-2022

IMPORTANT POINTS
- Subject eligibility criteria of individual disciplines will be provided by the relevant Board of studies/DDPC of Department / Institute / College / Centre / School before the admission.
- CGPA on a scale other than 4:00 will be converted accordingly both for MS/M.Phil/PhD or equivalent.
- Those applicants with status of final result yet to be declared, they can apply for admission. However while applying they must select option “Result Awaiting” while filling their terminal degree marks. Furthermore, they must submit their notified result (from Controller of examination) on or before the interview date in the concerned Department / Institute / College / Centre / School.
- The candidates must have to qualify the written test with 70% marks for PhD and 50% for MS/M.Phil/Equivalent.
- The candidates must have to qualify the interview with 50%
- Marks 40 are reserved for academic qualification (merit formula table is available at www.pu.edu.pk/dpcc) to be added in the merit.
- The admission regulations of MS / M.Phil. / M.Sc. (Engg./Hons) /equivalent/ Ph.D. can also be obtained from the respective Department / Institute / Centre / College / School. For further information, please contact the respective Department / Institute / Centre / College / School.
- Processing and examination fee i.e. Rs.1000/- must be deposited in the bank, through online Bank challan form generated during application submission. After submission of fee in the bank, details must be entered in the application. Final application must be generated for completion of online submission.
- Application received (online) after due date and time will not be entertained in any case.
- Equivalence from PU required (Qualification from Institutions other than the University of the Punjab will be equalized by the Equivalence Committee of the University of the Punjab). Candidates have to apply well in time to equivalence cell PU and must provide the same before interview.
- Equivalence of Degrees Awarded by Chartered Foreign Universities will be also required from HEC Pakistan. PU equivalence is also required.
- Candidate in job should provide NOC from his/her employer will date of interview, who fail to submit will not be included in the merit list.
- A foreign candidate should apply through his/her Home Country’s Embassy or Consulate and Pakistan Mission/s Abroad office (in case of Overseas Pakistani). NOC and equivalence of degrees from HEC required.
