GOVERNMENT OF CUBA SCHOLARSHIP FOR MBBS
Government of Cuba has announced One undergraduate MBBS scholarship for Pakistani students for the academic years 2022–2023. Candidates may apply for the Cuban Government Scholarship if they have at least 60% in their high school exams and at least 70% in their FSc pre-Medical or comparable exams. The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, announces the scholarship on his official website too.
For Cuban scholarship students can apply online via HEC official website. The scholarship application deadline is September 12, 2022. The scholarship pays for tuition, food, housing, and a monthly stipend of 100 Cuban pesos. The scholarship recipient would get a one-time gift of Rs 300,000/- following his departure for Cuba. (The scholar must maintain an active bank account in Pakistan).
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CUBAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP
- Student must have 70% marks in intermediate FSc Pre medical & 60% marks in Matriculation with science.
- All Pakistani & AJK nationality holder can apply for this.
- Age must 18-25 till the closing date of application.
- Result awaiting students can’t apply for this scholarship. Because intermediate part 2 complete Result is mandatory.
MERIT FORMULA:
- Matriculation: 50%
- FSc Pre-medical: 50%

- Tuition fee
- Hostel accommodation & toiletries
- Food ( according Cuba rule )
- Stipend of 100 Cuban pesos per month
The student or guardian is responsible for covering any additional costs, such as round-trip airfare, halal food purchases, medical insurance (disease or other causes), and visa fees. However, the scholarship recipient would receive a one-time grant of Rs 300,000/- upon his departure for Cuba (Scholar should have a working bank account in Pakistan).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since the Cuban government is funding this scholarship, Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission will have no any additional financial obligations.
HOW TO APPLY:
Apply online at https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk/#/auth/login to the HEC website. Please choose “Learning Opportunities Abroad” after signing up and completing your profile. Get the applicant to sign the application’s printed copy after it has been submitted. The HEC online application system will be off on September 12, 2022. (04.00 PM).
The HEC e-portal online application must be submitted by September 12, 2022, or earlier.
INCASE OF SHORTLISTING:
- A copy of the HEC application form that was submitted online (duly signed)
- O-Level Certificate (Science Group) with IBCC equivalency OR SSC Certificate/DMC/Degree with IBCC attestation.
- A-Level Certificate (Pre-Medical) with IBCC equivalent OR F.Sc Certificate/DMC/Degree with IBCC attestation.
- A birth certificate that is issued by6 NADRA.
- CNIC copy from the parent or guardian.
- No certificate of a criminal history.
- Original copy of a current passport (validity more than 06 months)
- Original Medical Certificate with HIV/AIDS Report provided by District Head Quarter Government Hospital’s Medical Superintendent and further attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
NOTE : Above mentioned documents are submitted only by shortlisted applicants, there is no need to send the hard copy to HEC until intimated. (Please keep these documents ready).
